The recombinant Influenza A virus subtype H5N1 Controls are high-quality, reliable tools for research and diagnostic applications.
Two strains of recombinant H5N1 are offered. The first carries the segment 4 (HA, the hemagglutinin gene) of older H5N1 reference strain, NCBI Reference Sequence NC_007362.1. The second carries the consensus sequences of segment 4, 7 and 8 of the recent popular H5N1 Clade 2.3.4.4b strain. Both recombinant viruses carry the segment 6 (NA, the neuraminidase gene) of NCBI Reference Sequence NC_007361. An H275Y drug resistance mutation was introduced to the NA.
