Yabin Lu, Founder, and CEO

Yabin has nearly two decades of experience in the molecular diagnostics industry. Prior to founding Anchor Molecular, he leads the R&D catalog product development team for the Molecular Control Business Unit of Clinical Diagnostics Division at AcroMetrix Thermo Fisher Scientific. His work focused on engineering molecular controls for viral load and oncology. Prior to AcroMetrix, he worked at Bio-Rad Laboratories for 14 years. He served as the lead assay development scientist for numerous IVD assay programs including one for HbA1c and other hemoglobin variants. Most notably, he headed the 510K launches for two major IVD assays – Celiac IgA/IgG Multiplexed Immunoassay in 2013 and TORC IgM multiplexed Immunoassay in 2016. He received his Ph.D. in Microbiology from Duke University. He did his postdoctoral work on gene therapy at Stanford University.

 

Arnie A. Arenas, VP, Commercial Business

Arnie A. Arenas, MBA, is the Vice President of Commercial Business residing in Southern California. He has over 20-years of combined Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, & Life Science commercial experience that has helped establish startup companies throughout his career to include; Xcel Pharmaceuticals, Nautilus Neurosciences, & Anchor Molecular. At Nautilus Neurosciences, November 2009, Mr. Arenas managed the US commercial business reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. From April 2001 to the present, he has held positions in Sales, Sales Management, Marketing, Sales Operations, Reimbursement, Business Development, & Distribution. While in these positions, Arnie was employed by the startup companies stated, PSS World Medical, Valeant Pharmaceuticals, & Pfizer/Pharmacia. Mr. Arenas started his career as a Hospital Sales Representative covering 3 states in the Southeast Region of the US for Sunrise Medical. Lastly, Mr. Arenas graduated magna cum laude with an MBA in Marketing from California Coast University, April 2013.
